About Masami Handcrafted
Hey everyone!
Masami Handcrafted is a one-woman business run by myself, Breanna Tamagi, based out of the city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This venture started a few years ago, as a way to express my creativity and relieve anxiety/stress. It didn't take too long for the realization that I truly enjoy making these pretty pieces and wanted to find ways to create even more and share it with all of you, so here we are!
On a personal note, my greatest joy comes from movies, video games, spectacular visual events/aesthetics, wandering outdoors and listening to music; pretty much anything beautiful, intriguing and creative will really inspire and stimulate my mind. There's no other way I'd rather spend my time, than enjoying as much of the above things as I can while tinkering away at a new creation or design of my own, and that has all lead to the launch of Masami Handcrafted.
Why "Masami" ?
From Japanese 成 (masa) meaning "become" or 正 (masa) meaning "right, proper" combined with 美 (mi) meaning "beautiful"
While the name Masami already sits perfectly with my mission as a local maker - to create pieces that are both beautiful and make the recipient feel more beautiful - it has a double, very special meaning as well. Masami is also the middle name of one of my Grandfathers - Michael Masami Tamagi; a successful businessman of his own before retiring, and because of his determination and intelligence, one of my biggest inspirations. He was an extremely supportive figure in my life who I truly want to honour and keep close as I navigate this new journey.
It is my goal to provide each and every customer with quality service at every visit, beautiful pieces they wish to wear over and over again, and eye-catching accessories they'd be proud to gift loved-ones and friends.
